Fleas love your carpet and the deeper they can get the better they like it.  When you have fleas in the carpet, you your kids and your pets all become targets for these blood suckers.  Worse, flea eggs and larva can last for weeks so simply putting down a "flea" killer will not solve uour problem unless it specifically mentions that it kills the eggs and larva.

But your best friend in combating fleas in the house is Mr. Hoover or one of his fabric sucking relatives as this veterinarian explains.

Ever wonder what a geek does in his spare time?  Well fortunately this guy's therapy has kicked in and now he's after those pesky fleas with an inventive flea trap.

And of course when all else fails, and you have someplace else that you can stay at overnight, you can nuke the critters with a flea bomb but this really is a last resort.
